It's not every day that Cadbury launches a new product, so it's natural for me to be excited. Enter the Twirl Breakaway, which consists of two flaky chocolate bars sandwiched between two wafers and covered in Cadbury's typical milk chocolate. Sounds good, right? However, those familiar with chocolate will definitely recognize this combination. It bears a striking resemblance to the cuisine of what used to be called the Time Out Bar. More on that later.
According to @treatsinstore , the Cadbury Twirl Breakaway has made its debut in B&M stores nationwide and is now available for £1.49. It doesn't appear to be available from major supermarkets online at the moment, but that's not to say it's hidden on physical shelves.
Almost as soon as Cadbury's new product was noticed on Instagram food review accounts, users started pointing out how similar it was to the Time Out bar.
The original Time Out bar consisted of a layer of milk chocolate sandwiched between two wafers, and was sold with the slogan: "The wafer breaks with a flake." Sadly, the bar was discontinued in 2016 after being considered the brand's least popular product. Instead, the chocolate bar is replaced by a single finger Time Out, with smaller chocolate layers between the wafers.

Cadbury later issued a statement responding to the comments. "We can confirm they are not the same, but how they are made is a secret known only to our amazing chocolatiers," the brand told Metro cryptically. So there you have it.
