Brace yourself, Bud Light is launching a pumpkin spice hard seltzer

Just when the first leaves were about to fall, the drink gods swooped down and gave the beloved pumpkin spice drink a hardcore adult makeover, because let's be honest, it was about time. If you can't get enough of the nutty, warming spice blend during the day, you can now crack open a can of Bud Light Pumpkin Spice Seltzer (PSS) during happy hour. Heck, if you're feeling extra festive, you can swap PSL for PSS at brunch. There's nothing to say, "I'm not sad about losing my summer vacation because of the pandemic, so now I'm trying to learn about the fall," like a cheap can of novelty beer.

The new hard seltzer flavors are part of a seasonal multi-pack that also includes Toasted Marshmallow (TMS), Maple Pear (MPS) and Apple Crisp (ACS) for an all-around fall flavor explosion. While you'll have to wait until Monday, September 6 to try the flavor in real life, Bud Light attributes "pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla flavors" to PSS, a "sweet cotton with a hint of chocolate." Sugar, with the coolness of soda water”, for TMS, “the refreshing and delicious flavors of maple syrup and pear”, for MPS, “all the flavors of apple pie, plus the coolness of soda water”, for ACS It’s described as “a refreshing and delicious maple syrup and pear flavor.”

Dubbed the Fall Flannel Limited Edition Variety Pack, this seasonal treat is 5% alcohol by volume, the same as White Claw, in case you're wondering how drunk stumbling into a can will get you. While it sounds like one of those drinks that's so sweet it'll give you a pounding headache when you drink it, Bud Light claims it contains only one gram of sucrose per can, which might make it the perfect 12-pack to, you know, Next to the fire pit, next to the scarecrow, under the harvest moon, etc.

At the peak of the elite brand, Bud Light's official Twitter account debuted the new drink on August 31 and is still chatting with fans in the replies to celebrate. What's more, they also shamelessly attacked Starbucks by encouraging people to tweet their flavor orders using the hashtag #FallFlannelSeltzer for a chance to receive a reply with a seriously misspelled name, along with other real-life perks like merchandise.

Bud Light hasn't revealed how long the seasonal drink will last, so if you've got your heart set on this specialty drink, you'll want to pre-order it on the liquor aisle this weekend while supplies last.
