Many people keep a low profile by giving up many of the traditions associated with wedding planning. Instead of arranging cake tastings, photo shoots and lavish bachelorette parties, they're looking for shortcuts — or opting out altogether. Imagine a backyard wedding with homemade cake and a luxury venue that can accommodate 400 people.
They'll also keep their eye on the prize and not be upset by the many mishaps that are bound to happen on the way to their big day. According to Wang, the personalities of these signs allow them to rise above the drama, even if their clothes don't fit or the band cancels at the last minute.
While some zodiac signs go all out with planning their wedding - and they enjoy every minute of it - it also means their expectations can get really high. Meanwhile, relaxed zodiac signs keep their cool by embracing the chaos and accepting that things won't be perfect.
Here are four zodiac signs for staying relaxed throughout the wedding planning process, according to astrologers.
Scorpio (October 23rd - November 21st)
As a sign ruled by the mysterious planet Pluto, Scorpios like to keep things low-key when planning their wedding, which includes making every part of the process as stress-free as possible.
According to astrologer Stina Garbis, their main goal is to avoid unnecessary stress and attention. Some Scorpios may even qualify as Rat Brides because they feel embarrassed when people talk about their big day. (They are a water sign, after all.)
Instead of scheduling a formal engagement photo shoot, they happily took a few photos with their phones. If they had a bachelorette party, it would be at a cabin in the woods or at a B&B with two of their closest friends. They will also work to reduce the guest list so they have less to think about and worry about.
As long as they get married eventually, that's all that matters.
Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)
If anyone wants to ditch tradition and plan a chill wedding with pizza and beer, it's a Sagittarius. "With their ruling planet Jupiter, they are very good at throwing amazing parties without even trying," Garbis says.
Sagittarius is also the most free-spirited of the twelve zodiac signs. "Their philosophical outlook and pursuit of freedom means they are less likely to sweat the small stuff," Wang said. "They are also more interested in the honeymoon than the details of the wedding day."
If this fire sign finds itself stressed out about anything, it's the budget. They want to be able to afford a stunning post-wedding trip, so they often decide to skip fancy invitations and expensive photographers.
In fact, according to Wang, they might even abandon the wedding at the last minute and decide to elope.
Aquarius (January 20 to February 18)
While some zodiac signs keep a lengthy wedding list, Aquarius can barely even remember the date of their big day. "They are known for their non-conformist nature, which extends to wedding planning," Wang said.
As an air sign, they relax and go with the flow. "They prefer authenticity to tradition, so typical wedding stressors — like choosing the perfect color scheme — are less likely to faze them," he says. You won't find an Aquarius saying words like "gossamer" or "fudge," or stressing over a certain color of yellow napkin. For them, it's all a little daunting.
Aquarius rules the eleventh house of friendship, so their main focus is getting their close friends together for a great party. Garbis said they will eventually get around to sending out invitations because the guest list is one thing they will emphasize. But otherwise, they are perfectly fine with chaos and misfortune.
Pisces (February 19-March 20)
Pisces enters a fairyland state of mind the moment they get engaged, so nothing can bother them.
Wang said they are the dreamers of the zodiac, so it's easy for them to stay relaxed and laid-back. He said that while they care deeply about a great wedding experience, they don't get hung up on the material aspects of things, like the venue or decor, and they embrace life's imperfections.
This water sign will hit the thrift store to buy the perfect vintage dress, look up recipes for making her own cake, and ask her best friend to arrange flowers. For them, the most important thing about wedding planning is the beauty of the process and the result.
"They approach it all with flexibility and creativity, ready to laugh it off and focus on the romantic adventure that the day symbolizes," he said. Secretly, they also hoped it would rain on the wedding day because it would create wonderful memories.
