You Can Wear These Lorelai Gilmore Outfits Today

If you're feeling lonely and unfashionable on the road, just rewatch Gilmore Girls on Netflix and look at Lorelai Gilmore's outfits for inspiration for the 2016 reboot. Yes, even in the early '00s, Gilmore Girls was known for its bad fashion. However, there's also a lot going for Lorelai Gilmores' costume. Both ladies know how to rock solids and patterns. They also make a splash on outerwear and Friday night wear.

As a six-foot-tall teenager, I preferred Lorelai's style and body to Rory's. So, I get more fashion inspiration from her. That means V-neck dresses, tailored jeans, corduroy fleece-lined jackets, jeans, sweaters, and tall boots. I'm still addicted to pizza and coffee, so I'm more like her than I ever thought I would be.

So, without further ado, here are some Lorelai Gilmore outfits that can still be worn today. If you're looking to reminisce and get some inspiration for your next shopping trip, look no further than these graphic tees, dresses and killer jackets.

1. Graphic T-shirt

I doubt Lorelai actually thinks heavy metal rules, but the graphic tee she used is definitely metal. Plus, that pizza is so metallic and now I'm distracted.

2. Cutoff Dash

These cute cutoff denim shorts are perfect for summer 2016. I'm glad they're still fashionable ten years later.

3. Tailored little black dress

This hot little black dress with a cutout V-neck and high-neck tie is definitely New York nightclub-approved. Lorelai owns a lot of these little black dresses. For example. . .

4. Halter neck little black dress

Lorelai looked sexy in Rory's saddest episode ever. She also has stunning bright red lips.

5. This lace dress-cardigan combination

I describe it the same way she describes it without coffee. She looks hot and I can totally imagine wearing this to work tomorrow.

6. Pink jacket

This pink army coat is worth a try. Totally made for spring.

7. The perfect fall outfit

This is my go-to every fall: a flannel button-down shirt and a nice cardigan paired with jeans and boots.

8. Ugly Christmas Sweater Party

You totally rocked one of these this Christmas. Don't lie to yourself.

9. Full leather blazer

Full leather or even partial leather blazers are on trend. However, you may want to switch to pastel Pantone colors in the spring.

10. Leather hot pants

Eddie Murphy isn't the only one who can wear leather hot pants. Additionally, her jacket features faux fur trim. Just wear it.

11.This camel coat

Long before Gigi Hadid came on the scene, Lorelai Gilmore knew how to rock a camel coat.

12. This pure black top

It looks like it came straight out of Zara. You should wear it at work, underneath a leather blazer. The perfect transition from day to night, right?

13. Metallic colors!

Check out this metallic silver slip dress. This was the case at New York Fashion Week 2016.

14. 90s retro

I'm pretty sure I just saw this sleeveless turtleneck in a store yesterday. I think my cousin got the black one.

15. Coachella Corolla

You know, you're totally guilty of wearing a fake flower crown every year at Coachella.
