Florence Pugh’s sartorial range is unparalleled. Her most stylish headline-grabbing looks to date include sheer dresses, voluminous capes and feathered headpieces. While the stylish star rarely sticks to one look, keeping fashion fans on their toes, there is one accessory that is widely associated with the actor: flower crowns.
In 2019, Pugh starred in the folk horror film A Midsommar Nightmare , playing Dani, a tourist-turned-pagan favorite . Set in the Swedish countryside, the horrific storyline is the stuff of nightmares. However, no scene is more chilling than when Pugh is wearing a garland - especially the flower pyramid in the film's twist ending (IYKYK). Five years later, Pugh revived the garland-inspired headpiece following her breakthrough horror role.
Over the weekend, Pugh attended the 2024 Glastonbury Festival with flowers blooming above her head. However, unlike the horror movie scenes of yesteryear, her flower crown was styled in the chicest, most playful way.
Transparent little black dress in Florence
The annual festival usually attracts star-studded crowds, and this year is no exception. A-listers including Anya Taylor-Joy, Cara Delevingne and Pugh all enjoyed memorable performances. However, on Friday, June 28, the Oppenheimer star took a break from the festival to attend a Q&A session at the event's Pilton Palace.
Despite the casual atmosphere of the event, Pugh looked very stylish in a sheer patterned little black dress. The halter top was see-through throughout, completely exposing the black underwear. If that wasn't enough, the dress also featured a thigh-high slit on the sides.
Pugh made the most of her edgy sartorial style, pairing the dress with brown combat boots - a practical and stylish choice for the dusty festival venue.
her holiday staple
Flower crowns have become a ubiquitous holiday staple since Coachella venues were virtually transformed into gardens around 2015. Pugh made a twist that gave the look a fresh spin: Instead of a wreath, she wore a floral headband adorned with six giant colorful roses.
While the accessory is reminiscent of Midsommar , there's nothing weird about the actor's headpiece. The mood was even more whimsical with gold and turquoise earrings, a heart-shaped necklace and another necklace that read "AMOR."
Even her makeup added to the playful beauty. Colorful rhinestone stickers stuck to the corners of her eyes gave off a subtle glow.
