Each zodiac sign has a different personality when they walk into a bar. Some like to wax poetic about a gin and tonic in a quiet corner, others clink glasses of wine with their date, and still others are always in the mix, socializing, and making as many friends as possible.
For zodiac signs who like to make friends, the bar is a treasure trove of opportunities. Here they can pull up a stool and become best friends with the bartender and all the locals, or depending on the venue, they can become best friends with everyone on the dance floor.
Michelle Bell, founder of astrology app Cosmic Fusion, says certain zodiac signs have a natural talent for meeting new people. In some cases, this is because they are outgoing and fun-loving, and this energy makes them easy to party with strangers. Connecting with other customers is their favorite part of being out.
Sometimes it's their sweet and charming demeanor that makes them easy to strike up a conversation with while waiting for your drinks. If someone is within earshot, they take this as an opportunity to tell their entire life story, and before long they are laughing like close friends.
For the following zodiac signs, any trip to the bar is a great opportunity to make friends.
Cancer (June 21 to July 22)
Cancer radiates friendly energy, so it's no surprise that this water sign makes friends easily at the bar.
"Under the influence of the Moon, which rules emotions and nurturing, Cancers exude an aura of care and protection that attracts others to them, even in the most unlikely of settings, like a bar bathroom," says Bell. Place, Cancer will be your best friend while you're waiting in line to pee.
Once they settled in at the bar, the sign leaned over to chat with the bartenders, a group of girls celebrating the bachelorette, and the quiet locals who drank there every night. Give them five minutes and they'll feel like they've known each other for years.
"Cancer's empathetic and intuitive nature allows them to sense when someone needs a shoulder to lean on or words of comfort," Bell says. They're also natural talkers, so they can gush about anything, and it's this energy that attracts Watching people.
Leo (July 23-August 22)
Leos can make friends in a bar without even trying, all thanks to their endless confidence. Even on nights when they plan to be low-key and relaxing, they always find themselves laughing with a new group of friends.
"With their innate charisma and love of the spotlight, Leos are naturally the life of the party on the dance floor," says Bell. As a sign ruled by the Sun, they also radiate a warm glow, which is often the only thing that wins people's favor.
When this fun fire sign rocks out on the dance floor to a random group of friends, they're instantly welcomed into the circle because everyone can tell they're having a great time. They also have a relationship with the bartender and often receive free drinks and snacks at home.
"Leo's energy is contagious, making them the life of any party," says Bell. It also gives them the unique ability to befriend almost anyone.
Sagittarius (November 22-December 21)
Sagittarius will go to the bar with a mission to make new friends, and they will succeed every time. According to Bell, this fire sign has an adventurous attitude and great enthusiasm, so they mix easily.
They're also ruled by Jupiter, the planet of expansion and joy, which means they give off a fun party vibe wherever they go, Bell says. They are not afraid to dance, buy drinks at a bar, or sing karaoke with a group of strangers. To them, everyone is a potential friend, and they are usually right.
Bell believes that Sagittarius has an optimistic, friendly and fun energy that gives them enough confidence and self-esteem to express themselves, especially when other signs may be too shy. By the end of the night, everyone in the bar will know their name and they will quickly become a regular on the scene.
