Adele had a surprise reunion over the weekend. During her Las Vegas residency on Oct. 28, the singer became so emotional after seeing the doctor who gave birth to her son in 2012 that she even paused the show for him.
On October 19, 2012, Adele and her ex-husband Simon Konecki welcomed her 11-year-old son Angelo in the UK. She seemed to have no idea that the man who delivered her son would have to travel across the ocean to attend her performance.
emotional reunion
Fan footage from the show shows Adele walking through the Colosseum crowd as usual, singing "When We Were Young" (but dressed as Morticia Addams for Halloween) before suddenly stopping in her tracks , noticed a familiar face. "Oh my God, Colin," she gasped.
Adele immediately went upstairs to hug Colin, completely ignoring the music, and began to cry as she introduced him to the audience. "It was my doctor who delivered my baby," she said. "I haven't seen you in years."
In fact, she was so excited that as she briefly greeted him, she asked the audience to finish the song for her. "I'm sorry. Will you sing to me? That man gave birth to my child," she said.
Before going on the show, Adele told the doctor she wanted to see him again soon. "I want another baby so bad, Colin," she quipped. "damn it."
Babies at Adele Vegas show
Surprisingly, that wasn't the only baby-related thing that happened during her Las Vegas residency. In August, a couple held up signs asking Adele to have sex publicly, which she happily obliged. “No one is really allowed to log in here,” she said. "I'm just fascinated that you could get one."
Adele brought them to the stage and opened an envelope with the results, revealing they were having a baby boy. Then she started hugging them and started crying.
"Awesome, I'm so happy for you! This is so emotional, oh my God," she said, before joking, "If I were pregnant, would you reveal my gender?"
Earlier that month, Adele opened up to a pregnant attendee about her desire to have a second child. "I really want to be a mom again soon, so I've actually been writing a list of [baby names]," she said.
"Every time I see a name I like, I write it down on my phone." She even advised attendees not to steal one of her baby's names if they had the choice. "Well, I can't call him Parker because [boyfriend] Richie [Paul] likes that name," she said. "I would say Spencer. I like Spencer."
