Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are parting ways. The Jonas Brothers singer filed for divorce from the "Game of Thrones" actor on Sept. 5, saying in court documents obtained by TODAY that their marriage had "irretrievably broken down." Just days ago, TMZ reported that the couple was "preparing for divorce" and had been experiencing "serious problems" over the past six months, with People adding that he had hired a divorce lawyer.
Jonas filed for divorce in Miami, and the two recently sold their home for $15 million. He requested joint custody of their two children, noting that they lived with him in Miami and other U.S. cities while he was on tour, but that "shared parental responsibilities remain in the best interests of the minor children." The couple had entered into a prenuptial agreement.
On September 6, Jonas and Turner shared a joint statement on Instagram confirming their divorce. "After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage," the statement read. "There has been much speculation as to why, but in reality it was a mutual decision and we sincerely hope everyone Can respect our wishes for our privacy and that of our children.”

"Long night in New York," she captioned the post.
Jonas and Turner started dating in 2016, when he private messaged her on Instagram.
