Future Academy Award winners Kulture and Wave Set Cephus began their acting journeys early. Cardi B and Offset's kids will make their acting debut in Nickelodeon's "Baby Shark: The Movie," starring alongside their parents. The rapper revealed the family's new venture on March 30, sharing a casting poster of their family and the entire voice cast on Twitter: "So excited to announce that my family and I will be starring in "Baby Shark" movie!
The couple and their 4-year-old daughter Kulture actually appeared on Baby Shark's Big Show! Previously, they will guest star as Sharki B, Offshark and Kulture Sharki respectively in the movie. The trio even created their own song and dance, "Seaweed Sway," for the show, which is just as catchy as the Baby Shark theme song. The couple's one-year-old son, Wave, will join the Shark Cinematic Universe for the first time as Wavey Shark.
The family joins one of the craziest voice casts in animated movies. Other stars include Ashley Tisdale as the evil pop star (fish) Stariana, Lance Bass as himself, K-pop band Enhypen as the white whale K-pop band , "Saturday Night Live" stars Ego Nwodim and Chloe Fineman as Leah and her mother Lannie - the daughter who has a close relationship with the Shark family Duo.
Of course, the series' voice actors will all return for the film, including Kimiko Glenn (Baby Shark), Luke Youngblood (William), Natasha Rothwell (Mama Shark), Eric Edelstein (Daddy Shark), Debra Wilson (Grandma Shark), and Patrick Warburton (Grandpa Shark). According to People magazine , the film tells the story of a family who moves to Chop City, where Baby Shark meets Stariana, a rising pop starfish who wants to steal his music Talent, become the queen of pop – at least underwater.
Cady joining the world of Baby Shark comes as no surprise. In July 2018, just months after Kulture was born, the artist began referencing Baby Shark on social media, showing off outfits using the theme song on Instagram and tweeting her own version of the addictive hook, and eventually got her daughter to dance to it. Her rocking chair. She even threatened to cancel the culture's Baby Shark franchise when she performed poorly one time.
