Adele will attend the 2023 Grammy Awards, thank you very much

If you look up Grammy Awards in the dictionary, chances are a picture of Adele will pop up. The "Rolling in the Deep" singer is the only artist to win the three major Grammy awards - Record, Album and Song of the Year - for back-to-back albums, 21 times in 2012 and 25 times in 2017. In fact, she hasn't lost all of the Grammy nominations she's received since 2010. Fans are wondering how Adele will dominate the 2023 Grammys, and whether it's meant to be a tear-jerker, considering she's nominated for the Big Three for the third time in 30 times , along with her hit single "Easy On Me." 's show or just sit back and receive the award (if she wins, of course).

After reports emerged that she wouldn't even attend the 2023 Grammy Awards, Adele almost immediately shot down the reports and had some critical words to say about the source. "Whoever started this rumor is an idiot because I'm going to the Grammys," she told the audience during her Jan. 27 show in Las Vegas. "I will never miss the Grammys. I will never be so disrespectful to the Grammys or any other artist, whoever started this little story needs to touch some grass, okay? Go breathe Fresh air, okay, honey?"

Performance on February 5, however, is less certain. Adele has two shows scheduled in Las Vegas the weekend before the ceremony, which means she doesn't have much time to rehearse for her Grammy performance. As a result, Hits Daily Double reports that Adele won't be performing, although producers haven't given up on negotiating with her and are keeping a slot open in the hope she'll change her mind. The Recording Academy has never announced any official plans for Adele to appear on the show.

When host Trevor Noah kicked off the 2023 Grammy Awards broadcast, fans quickly spotted Adele's boyfriend Rich Paul sitting in the audience ) beside. Meanwhile, Noah goes to great lengths to fulfill one of the singer's dreams - but it doesn't involve a golden gramophone. After announcing that he recently discovered that Adele "has always wanted to meet" Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, he surprised the singer with an unexpected introduction, revealing that the actor is also a "big fan" of hers.

Adele, meanwhile, once again faced off against Beyoncé in all three categories after beating Beyoncé to win Album of the Year for her critically acclaimed Lemonade in 2017, the last time both artists won the category nomination. The singer herself was distraught by the Recording Academy's decision and dedicated her acceptance speech to Queen Bey. "There was no way I was going to accept this award," she said. "I'm so humbled and I'm so grateful and gracious, but the artist in my life is Beyoncé and this album to me, the Lemonade album, is so monumental." If Adele wins for the third time Album of the Year, then she will give all the trophies to Beyoncé.

In addition to the general categories, "30" was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album, while "Easy On Me" won Best Pop Solo Performance. Her Emmy-winning CBS special "Adele: One Night Only" was also nominated for Best Musical Film.
