"Real Housewives of New York City" reality star Luann de Lesseps has just been offered a role in "The Bachelorette."
In February, following the success of the series' first premium spinoff, ABC confirmed that The Bachelorette Season 1 is currently in production. While the network has yet to announce the series' star, De Lesseps recently told Life & Style magazine that she would be "perfect" for the show.
"Who can charm the countess?" She told the media that she is ready to "show" to find true love in 2024.
During De Lesseps' 13 years running RHONY , her love life was well documented. In 2009, she divorced her first husband, French Count Alexandre de Lesseps, ending a marriage of more than 16 years. She tied the knot again in 2016, marrying Tom D'Agostino Jr. in a televised ceremony, before announcing the marriage eight months later.
The " RHONY" and "Welcome to Crispy Lake" star clarified that "The Bachelorette" producers haven't contacted her yet but wanted them to know she'd be open to starring in the first season.
Other potential candidates
With the show rumored to begin filming in the summer of 2024, Bachelor Nation fans are busy speculating on who will lead the upcoming spinoff.
If ABC follows the tradition of picking its next lead from last season's finalists, "Bachelor" stars Leslie Fima and Faith Martin are the two most likely contenders.
Faith previously revealed in an interview with Bustle that she would consider joining the show. “It was hard to say no to anything they offered me because it was such a great experience,” she said. "I don't know what they're looking for; I thought the runner-up was always [to be the Bachelorette], and I'm not the runner-up. ... But they'd probably ask me to do anything for them — and that's what I say about the crew Love."
Joan Vassos, who exited The Bachelor in its third week due to family reasons, has also expressed interest in starring in the spin-off, revealing she would like to co-star in the show alongside former co-star Sandra Mason.
