In a roundtable with The Hollywood Reporter , the actor revealed that working with Jodie Foster, Brie Larson, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Aniston, Anna Savoie and Sofia Vergara, who was once asked to make out with a "very well-known actor" for a chemistry test.
"I was auditioning and I didn't get the job, so obviously I didn't do a good job," Watts shared. "It was humbling because we didn't hear the 'pause' but everything just kept going. And then they were like, 'Okay, okay.' ” We both said, “Oh, sorry, we didn’t hear that. "I did feel a little flustered."
The actor called the chemistry test "impossible" and said she did "shockingly poorly" in auditions early in her career.

In the ensuing roundtable discussion, Watts recalled auditioning for Mulholland Drive with director David Lynch and revealed that she had never experienced an audition for a film like this.
“He said, ‘Tell me about yourself.’ I got caught up in the conversation,” Watts said. "I was like, 'Wait, really? Do you want to spend time with me? Do you want to know about me and how I grew up and all that? And then I got the job. I even No audition required.”
Apparently, Watts isn't the only Hollywood star to undergo embarrassing chemical testing. In April, Anne Hathaway revealed in an interview with V magazine that in the 2000s it was "considered normal" for actors to make out with potential co-stars during auditions.
"I was told, 'We have 10 people coming today and you were chosen. Aren't you excited to make out with all of them?'" she said. "I thought, 'Is there something wrong with me?' because I wasn't excited. I thought it sounded disgusting."
