Taylor Swift brings a new look to the Eras Tour. On May 9, the singer resumed her history-making world tour in Paris, France, after a two-month break, during which she released her 11th studio album , The Tortured Poets Department . As fans have come to expect, she added a whole new era to the show with a few fan-favorite songs.
Not only did Swift incorporate the new album, but she refreshed the entire show, rearranging the order of performances to represent her album. While she started with "Lover" and ended with "Midnight" as usual, she changed up nearly every era in between, even merging the two albums into one act.
Swift also introduced several new costumes, updated the presentation, and gave dancers new things to do. If you can't keep track of all the new additions, read on for 10 changes Swift made for the European leg of the Eras Tour.
Introduction to the tortured poet
As expected, the show's intro announced the title of Swift's album, which now includes "The Tortured Poets Department," performed between 1989 and Red , as well as lyrics from "The Alchemy."
Lover's outfit
Swift started the show on a fiery note, switching her lover bodysuit and matching blazer she wore in "The Man" for an orange ombre look.
fearless dress
During her performance of " Fearless," she debuted a sparkly fringed dress that would have made the 19-year-old Swift proud.
shake the times
Unexpectedly, Swift completely rearranged the entire show. Instead of doing her usual Forever show after Fearless , she jumped before Red . She then moved into the "Speak Now" and "Reputation" eras, in that order.
mysterious red shirt
Swift wore a brand new shiny shirt in "22" that read, "This is not Taylor's version." Most Swift sees this as a loving tribute to her fans, who can automatically tell which songs are re-recorded "Tyler versions" when played publicly.
New Speak Now introduction and attire
Swift elevated her " Speak Now " performance by having her dancers perform a dazzling dance routine to the intro to "Enchanted" before taking the stage in a new princess gown.
The combination of folk custom and eternity
Swift blends folklore and timeless time into one scene. She's always referred to "Evermore" as a sister album to "Folklore ," so that's no surprise.
yellow folk dress
Swift donned a new yellow dress during her newly released performance of "Folkmore." She usually wears a yellow gown during her "Evermore" performances, meaning this could be another way to pay homage to the album.
1989 new clothing
Rather than stick to the monochromatic two-piece from her 1989 show, Swift decided to mix it up, giving fans Barbie and The Little Mermaid vibes in a sparkly pink bra top and teal blue skirt .
New Torture Poets Bill
After the 1989 show, instead of continuing to talk about the surprise songs, Swift took the audience to the "Torture Poets Ministry." She adds a whole new era to the album, which includes seven songs from her record-breaking new album (plus one from the "Secret Songs" section).
