It's been almost three months since The Bachelor hit theaters and Gerry Turner and Theresa Nestor tied the knot, but the couple is reportedly still living apart.
Recently, a source claimed in an interview with Us Weekly that the newlyweds don't plan to move in together anytime soon, citing Teresa's career at a financial consulting firm in New Jersey. (Gerry reportedly lives in Indiana.)
The insider also claimed that the couple is managing their long-distance relationship by visiting each other frequently. This fits in with Gerry and Teresa's recent interview on the Dear Shandy podcast, in which they admitted that the separation "has been a hurdle."
Teresa said she is "very loyal" to her longtime employer in New Jersey, adding that their relationship will remain long-distance "until we decide where to live." She continued, "Initially it was South Carolina, but we're still not sure."
During the podcast, Gerry and Theresa also noted that the cultural differences that come with living in different parts of the country make choosing where to live more difficult. “It helps solve problems,” Gerry explains. “I think it would be easier if we were all Midwesterners or East Coasters.”
The couple married in a live televised ceremony on Jan. 4 at the La Quinta Resort & Club near Palm Springs.
Before their wedding, Gerry mentioned in an interview with People that they were considering moving to South Carolina. "It was an idea I had considered," he said, adding that Theresa's son and grandson already lived in the same area, which made moving to the state even more attractive.
"Suddenly a big problem disappeared," he said at the time. "It's no longer an issue of compromising on issues like where to live and how to reconcile families."
