Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' third daughter has the most epic song ever from Taylor Swift's 2020 album Folklore name, so fans are naturally wondering if the singer will do the same for the couple's fourth child, whose name has yet to be confirmed. Reynolds was asked this exact question during a May 13 interview with Today , which led him to make a fitting joke to Swift.
Hosts Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie ask if Swift's new album "The Tortured Poets Department" is hiding his and Lively's fourth child name. In response, he joked that the child was named by the singer himself. "We're always waiting for Taylor to tell us what the baby's name will be, and I will say: We're still waiting," he said.
"She's a prolific writer — I mean, what are we doing here?" he added, urging Swift to pick a name quickly, before clarifying that "I wouldn't use the word lazy to describe Taylor." ”
After months of secrecy, Swift slyly revealed the name of Lively and Reynolds' third child in July 2020 in the ballad "Betty," which was named after their daughter. "Betty" is just one part of a trilogy on the album about a fictional high school love triangle, in which Swift also used the names of the couple's first two daughters, James and Inez.
The couple confirmed they welcomed their fourth child in February 2023, more than a year later and have yet to reveal the child's name. If Reynolds' comments are to be taken seriously, the name isn't hidden from Swift's new album.
However, many fans see it differently. Some have speculated that the child could have one of the four names listed on the track: "Chloe, Sam, Sophia, or Marcus," as the inspiration behind the names is unclear. Sarah and Hannah, mentioned in the song "But Daddy, I Love Him," are also possible contenders.
While Lively and Reynolds appear to be keeping quiet for now, it wouldn't be surprising if they asked Swift to reveal the child's name again, given their reaction to yelling at their children on Betty Boop.
"We thought it was awesome. We still do it," Reynolds told SiriusXM in 2021 . " I still walk down the street shaking my head thinking, 'I can't believe this happened.'"
