Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, may not be making an appearance on the Sussexes' three-day trip to Nigeria, but they keep popping up in sweet ways. Not only have their parents mentioned them at different events, Meghan brought back a special yellow dress for Mother's Day that seemed to pay homage to them.
Meghan's Mother's Day Dress
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are in Nigeria to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invincible Games, which Harry co-founded. Their packed schedule includes attending sporting events, meeting with school children and having dinner with local leaders. Meghan has had plenty of opportunities to dress up along the way, and on May 12, she turned to her old favorites for a visit to the state governor's mansion in Lagos.
For the event, Meghan re-dressed in a yellow silk Carolina Herrera gown and tied with both of her children. Harry and Meghan viewers may recognize it from Netflix's docuseries; when she, Harry and her mom Doria Ragland celebrated Archie's first birthday in May 2020 , she can be seen wearing this dress.
Meghan also wore the dress in February 2021, when she and Harry announced Lilibet's impending birth. To announce the pregnancy news, they posed with photographer friend Misan Harriman and shared a photo of the two on the grass, Meghan's head resting on Harry's lap and they smiled at each other.
Archie and Lilibet update
While Meghan's outfit showed her love for motherhood, she also made it very vocal when she co-hosted a Women in Leadership event on May 11. "I love being a mom," she told viewers, according to Daily Mail . Meghan described her baby as "very talkative" and "lovable".
At another event, Harry told 5-year-old pupils that they were the same age as Archie. Plus, he and Meghan shared that Lily loves singing and dancing, while Archie loves building. They clearly miss their children, and Meghan's outfit proved it even more.
