Dancing with the Stars won Season 32. On December 5, Marvel star Xochitl Gomez and her professional partner Val Chmerkovskiy prevailed, taking home the coveted Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.
Gomez beat out singer Jason Mraz for second place, while Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix and The Bachelorette's Charity Lawson (Charity Lawson) finished third and fourth respectively.
Fans later expressed their opinions on the finale, with many viewers believing one contestant was stripped of the DWTS crown.
"Ariana was robbed"
While many were happy for Gomez, the consensus among some fans on social media was that "Pump Rules" star Maddix deserved to receive the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy - which was removed following Goodman's death in April. Rename.
"I'm glad Xotchil won, but there's no way Ariana could have finished third," one fan said of the final result. "Carrie Ann screwed her over with the score!"
"This is so rigged! Ariana should win," claimed another viewer, while another declared: "Ariana Maddix got robbed."
"Justice for Ariana," another viewer posted on X (formerly Twitter). "I'm so proud of Ariana for being the first brave person in the finals! Team Ariana and Pasha are together forever," a Vanderpump Rules fan also wrote.
Ariana's 'Incredible' DWTS Journey
In the all-important " Dancing with the Stars " finale, Madix performed a samba to the Spice Girls' hit "Spice Up Your Life" and scored an impressive 29 out of 30 point.
Two "Pump Rules" stars, Katie Maloney and Lisa Vanderpump, who were in the studio audience, said she was "very proud" of Madix.
Madix also described her DWTS journey as "incredible" and "crazy," while her dance partner Pasha Pashkov noted that she "overcame" her injuries to put on a great show.
Although fans didn't get to see Madix hoist the Dancing With the Stars trophy, they will witness her post-"Scandal" redemption in the upcoming season 11 of Vanderpump Rules , which premieres in January 2024.
