Another Eras Tour era is over. Taylor Swift is bringing the show to Europe in May, which means Sabrina Carpenter's time as opening act is over. Carpenter helped Swift wrap up another set in Singapore on March 9, and upon returning home, she took the time to share some thoughts, highlights, and gratitude with fans.
The "magic" of the times
It seems the Eras tour openers enjoyed the experience as much as the fans. Carpenter joined Swift on her Latin American tour in August and November, before heading to Australia in February and Singapore in March. On March 23, after all the travel, she posted a tribute to her "Tabrina days" on Instagram.
"This is the end of the Days of Our Lives tour," she began, adding a sad face. “Sitting at home reflecting on what a whirlwind this has been, I feel so privileged to be a part of it.”
Carpenter later thanked the many people she was grateful for, including "everyone who has been so warm and generous" (not to mention "making some of the most impressive friendship bracelets [she] has ever received") and "Incredible staff." Of course, she also had sweet words for Swift herself.
"My biggest thank you is to Taylor," she added. "I have been so lucky to witness the magic of you and this tour. There truly is no one like you and there never will be! I love you with all my heart and I will cherish this Tabrina era (and all eras) until the end of time ”
A dream come true
From the beginning, Carpenter had nothing but praise for participating in the Times Tour. She was announced as one of the opening acts in June, writing on Instagram that she was "trying to process" it, before calling it a "dream come true." As of January, she told Who What Wear she was still working on the issue, saying, "If I'm being completely honest with you, I probably haven't dealt with it yet."
Carpenter shared highlights from the show on social media while on tour with Swift, and her posts showed how lucky she felt throughout the run. In a particularly sweet post, she uploaded a clip of singing "White Horse" with Swift and wrote: "9-year-old Sabrina singing White Horse will never see this happen! I Love you very much, my dear Taylor.
Although Carpenter's Eras Tour has ended, there are still more shows to come. Swift is taking a brief break before returning to the Paris stage in May with "Paramore" as her opener.
