Mel B says other Spice Girls are 'dumb' after reunion comments

Friendships never end, but visiting hot girls group chats sometimes does. By her own admission, Melanie Brown (aka Mel B and Scary Spice) has been kicked out multiple times for sharing more than she should. She appears to be on thin ice again after recently fueling rumors of a Spice Girls reunion for their 30th anniversary.

Said you would be there

Mel B, who re-released her 2018 memoir Brutally Honest in March, dropped strong hints at a Spice Girls reunion while promoting her book. So far, the other Spice Girls - Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Melanie Chisholm (aka Mel C) (Sports Spice Girls) and Geri Halliwell-Horner - have yet to support her. In fact, Beckham told France Radio in early April that their 30th anniversary celebrations "wouldn't be more important than" having lunch or dinner together. She added that tours and performances "are not going to happen," explaining that she was proud of their legacy but focused on her work in the fashion and beauty fields.

Still, Mel B didn't seem worried when she appeared on British talk show This Morning on April 4. When host Alison Hammond asked her about the other Spice Girls denying reunion rumors, she replied: "They're so silly. They're just being silly, that's what I'm saying."

Too much

Mel B admitted on This Morning that she's been in trouble on a number of occasions, including being kicked out of a group chat. "This happens to me all the time, yeah, because I say something, you know?" she said. "Speaking of the Spice Girls, I'm really excited because it's 30 years and, you know, we have a lot to celebrate. The fact that we're all still healthy and still living and still talking is great."

Her latest "trouble" includes promising an exciting announcement involving all five Spice Girls during a Jan. 8 appearance on Today With Hoda and Jenna . “It’s going to be a gift that keeps on giving, needless to say,” she said, adding with a laugh, “I’m going to get myself into a lot of trouble.”

The update was supposed to be released "in a few weeks" but was still not canceled when she appeared on ITV show Loose Women on March 7. However, she had another hint. "We're definitely doing something," she said. "I might get scolded, but I said it. So be it."

Long live forever

Mel B teased fans again on April 6 when she posted a photo of the Spice Girls' mural at Wembley Stadium. The venue is where the five women reunited for the final time and performed together at the London 2012 Olympic Games Closing Ceremony. "Wembley?? I won't say it again," Mel B wrote in her caption.

Of course, long-time fans know not to get too excited just yet. Mel B has teased us many times over the years, but the much-anticipated full reunion never materialized. Still, as their lyrics say, never give up on the good times.
